Update #14 — New Product Applications Components

Coming out of recent content and design enhancements for Applied Solutions and Product Applications page layouts, this issue of the Online Style Guide Release Notes introduces some new components that better enable authors to publish more robust and informative solutions- and product-focused content. These components can help further express Emerson’s expertise and excellence across our portfolio of solutions and products.
NEW COMPONENT
C089 – Featured Content with Product List
The C089 is a manually authored, interactive component intended for showcasing a specific applied solution in action and its corresponding product list.
The main content area of the C089 features a large primary image, descriptive body copy with an optional Read More toggle used for truncating longer-form, keyword-rich text on page load, and an optional CTA Button driving visitors to an associated child page for more details.
The supporting product list column to the right highlights up to eight high-impact product or content items associated with the featured solution. Each list item includes a thumbnail image, title, brief description text and Text CTA driving to the corresponding Product Details Page or other relevant child page as appropriate.
NEW COMPONENT
C024 – Featured Catalog Products
The C024 is a dynamic, data-driven component used to highlight multiple relevant catalog items, and a snapshot of key information for each one, associated with the larger product application focus of the page or section in which it is displayed. Each catalog item displays a product image, product name and long description text, as well the top three features and product specifications, and 2-4 Text CTAs.
Editors can manually author the component heading and optional description text, while the item content is automatically generated from the product catalog. Each item will include a minimum of two Text CTAs corresponding with the catalog data, but editors may opt to manually author up to two additional Text CTAs driving to relevant support, workspace or commerce pages as appropriate.
NEW COMPONENT
C035B – Featured Profile with Rich Text Block
The C035B is a variant of the Featured Profile component that includes greater authoring flexibility to apply to a wider range of content needs. Similar to the original C035, this component is intended to showcase an employee, customer, or other person-focused content in support of the larger story of the corresponding page. It leverages the full functionality of the available Rich Text Editor styles to accommodate full customization of the text hierarchy, whereas the C035 is intended only for quote text. The C035B also provides editor the option of authoring up to two Button CTAs when needed.
