Update #12 – New Dynamic Feed Components

In this issue of the Online Style Guide Release Notes, we introduce two new components that enable editors to feature content in Emerson.com pages from certain external Emerson-owned social and community environments. Dynamic content feeds help keep page content fresh and intriguing, and offer users a new way to explore the broader Emerson digital experience.
NEW COMPONENT
C049 – Blog Dynamic Feed
The Blog Feed component is used to preview recent blog articles on Emerson WordPress blogs, allowing editors to highlight additional thought leadership content from the broader Emerson digital ecosystem. The content displayed on Emerson.com page is pulled dynamically from published content on the external blog sites. It is not directly authorable through CoreMedia.
Each item in the component features an author photo, a post title with brief teaser copy, and provides a CTA to driving users to read the full article. The CTA is dynamically generated and takes users directly to the associated WordPress blog article page (external to Emerson.com).
NEW COMPONENT
C050 – Forum Dynamic Feed
The Forum Feed component is used to preview recent forum post comments on Emerson Exchange Forum, and helps to further engage users and keep them informed of interesting community discussions and thought leadership content available within the broader Emerson digital ecosystem.
Each Forum content card highlights the latest activity date, topic title, number of likes & comments, and provides a CTA driving users to the full topic discussion thread. The component also includes a “Show All” CTA linking to the main page of the related forum where users can explore additional discussion topics.
