Update #11 – Press Release Layouts & Enhancements
OCTOBER 11, 2021
As a follow up to the recent Case Study Components Recap (Update #9), this issue of the Online Style Guide Release Notes focuses on new and enhanced components now available to help keep your press release content looking fresh and engaging, and to enable even more flexibility to fit a variety of authoring needs and use cases.
COMPONENT ENHANCEMENT
H004 – Hero No Image
This Hero component can be used on lower-level detail pages that do not require or do not have images that can be used in the background. The H004 features a headline on a blank background by default and includes optional category (“eyebrow”) label and subheading configurations. This hero can also be used for press release articles or case studies that have been converted from PDF format to HTML format.
NEW COMPONENT
H008C – Hero with Offset Text and Optional Left-Aligned Image
Created primarily for use on press release pages, the H008C is an alternative version of the H008B hero intended to be used at the top of an article page. Similar to the H008B version, this hero variant features offset header copy consisting of a category descriptor (“eyebrow”) label, headline and subhead (optional), but also includes an optional left-aligned feature image that can be accompanied by an image caption and link text.
NEW COMPONENT
C039B – Flexible Pull Quote with Icon & Optional Attribution Text
The C039B provides an alternative, more flexible version of the C039 Sidebar Pull Quote. It can be used to feature interesting quote content from the body copy of a press release or case study article, and highlight it as a visual callout within the main content area or the sidebar.
**Note: This component is intended to be embedded within the C034 or C044 Rich Text component used to format the corresponding article content (single- or 2-column grid), and should only be used for L022A, L022B, L026, or L026B layouts.
