G008B Footer Primary Navigation
The G008B is an updated variant of the G008 and the new foundational building block for creating a standard footer on Emerson.com and Other Approved Sites. It includes a list of styled links that typically take users to key pages they may have been overlooked in the site’s global navigation.
Component Detail
The G008B Primary Footer Navigation is a combination of two additional subcomponents: the G008B Left Content Block (or sidebar) and the G008B Right Content Block.
The G008B Left sidebar includes the associated website’s brand logo, brand tagline text and optional promotional content, and the G008B Right content block is comprised of one to four columns of categorized link lists. The site’s G010B social link icons may be displayed in either the Left (default) or Right (optional) content groupings.
While there is a maximum of four columns in the G008B-Right, link lists may be stacked within a given column if needed and appropriate, such as with the optional column placement for social link icons (shown above). It is however recommended to include no more than 9-10 links per category list to maintain a reasonable height for the overall footer.
