Update #20 — Commerce Enhancements

The new H006 Hero offers content editors the ability to configure a clean, image-free hero component as well as leverage additional configuration options to enable more robust intro description copy with the Read More toggle, and provide users an at-a-glance overview of content sections and one-click way finding with up to six jump links.

While this hero is primarily intended for use on Product Listing pages, it may be used more broadly across the site when content or use case needs are appropriate.

Enhancements in this new Product Listing layout enables content editors to author more engaging and robust product catalog experiences by allowing them to include CoreMedia components above and below the dynamically generated product catalog content.

This updated authoring flexibility allows editors to include components like heroes with jump navigation, configurable text components that streamline content display on load with Read More toggles, FAQs, and other supporting content components that aim to provide both users and search engines alike a more information-rich page experience, helping to better educate them on Emerson’s product offerings, and to boost Emerson’s authority and expertise in the associated product category in organic search results.

This new variant of the Product Detail Page is redesigned to offer users a more modern and streamlined content experience when explored detailed product information.

An enhanced PDP hero offers a condensed display footprint and upgraded configurability to accommodate a variety of transactional and non-transaction content elements. Additionally, the body of the page now leverages a tabbed content structure which significantly reduces the long scrolling previously required to locate content lower on the page, and consolidates the various content sections into an intuitive, easily scannable at-a-glance display of corresponding page content types that users can quickly navigate to with one click.
