When to Use
Use for introducing important sub-pages across the family of available layouts, or for listing contact details for 2 or more individuals.
When to Avoid
When you have only one sub-page or contact detail tile to feature.
Component Active
VN009 Featured Visual Navigation
Traditionally used to tease important sub-pages, particularly for industry segments, innovation case studies and expertise pieces, and more broadly for way-finding to related child pages, the VN009 has been enhanced to also allow use for contact detail information and links for Emerson personnel.
The VN009 includes an optional headline and either reveals a green background color per tile on hover state for sub-page links (standard) or can feature multiple hyperlinks when used for contact details (optional).
Component Detail
Sub-page Links: Featured Visual Navigation tiles can be used to introduce important sub-pages across the family of available layouts, although they are primarily used in expertise and industry sections for way-finding. When used for sub-page wayfinding the whole tile area is clickable.
Contact Details: Featured Visual Navigation tiles can be used to list associated contact details for multiple individuals involved in a media campaign or event. Each tile contains the individual’s name, role & business unit and contact details as appropriate.
**Note: A minimum of two tiles must be authored within the VN009 for both sub-page and contact use cases.
Interactions
Sub-page Links: The whole tile is the interactive CTA area.
Contact Details: The body copy of each tile can include multiple contact hyperlinks as needed (such as an email address, business phone number, etc.), with each being separately interactive.
