A sub-component part of the G002, this component of the larger global navigation menu on Emerson.com represents the top level of navigation that allows for a second level to be built below each item when a user hovers on the primary links in the G002. This primary menu level holds 2 entries on Emerson.com that also link to a page. The second level for each entry can either directly link to another page on click or be configured to reveal fly-out menus (G012–G015) on hover. This thin second level menu strip typically holds 3-5 items, although shorter terms will allow an author to accommodate more items (up to max 7 recommended).
On hover, these second-level menu items turn white, while appearing grey off hover. While these items are configurable as a direct link to a page, they are not clickable links when revealing one of the menu types (G012-G015).”
